Thomas Demand & the Paper Rooms
This guy needs to get a life, but also, these are amazing. He creates banal looking sets out of paper and card, but they generally are places of some political importance, like the office in which George W Bush's brother allegedly won him the election poling.

A Scanner Darkly - Live Trace
Really really cool use of live trace. i have never seen a film done like this. very much in comic book style. I just bought it :)
Rorschach & Patterns
I found a nice man Ray image that works really well with live trace and the laser cut brief, and i was trying to figure out how to use it. I started playing around with different groupings and then thought that they would work well in a reflected/Rorschach way.
The mirrored nature of the ink blots and the fact that my image is a woman's face I thought would work well to create a narcissistic feel. I decided to make the faces kissing to emphasize this, and I think the proud look on the woman's face works well with this.

3D Projection Mapping (ft. Pablo Valbuena & James Turrell)
This is a totally different kind of art than i am used to and i find it really interesting and definately something i'd like to experiment with. Mostly i like the creative ways in which the medium engages with space.
